CEMEPE Special Session: ENFORCE Advancing Environmental Compliance through Digital Innovation

ENFORCE successfully organised a special session at the 13th International Conference on Environmental Management, Engineering, Planning and Economics (CEMEPE 2026), jointly convened with SECOTOX and LIFE–FROSTDEFEND project.
The conference took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 12–16 July 2026, with the ENFORCE special session taking place on 14 July, chaired by Prof. Chrysi Laspidou and Dr. Anna Aseeva.
ENFORCE Special Session
The special session showcased the latest outcomes of the ENFORCE project, highlighting innovative approaches to and tangible results of environmental compliance through organisational design, direct participation of citizens and stakeholders in environmental litigation, citizen science, Earth observation, machine learning, and stakeholder engagement. Presentations covered conceptual and organisational frameworks, strategic litigation, legal and governance perspectives, data integration, AI-driven environmental evidence, practical compliance toolkits, and real-world applications, demonstrating how digital technologies can strengthen evidence-based environmental governance.
